about
Hello! I am an award-winning health tech reporter at Axios, where I write about digital health, venture capital and the health ambitions of the world’s technology giants, including Amazon and Alphabet/Google. Based in California, I will coauthor Axios Pro Health Tech Deals starting in January 2022.
I have also written for outlets including STAT, Business Insider, Newsweek, Popular Science, and Scientific American, and had my work featured in the New York Times and NPR. In addition to my news reporting, I regularly contribute to science and health publications including handbooks, textbooks, and reference frameworks including the Knight Science Journalism at MIT’s Science Editing Handbook and the first reference framework exploring the benefits and risks of digital health technologies in practice, Digital Health: Understanding the Benefit-Risk Patient-Provider Framework.
I received my master's in health and science reporting from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism in New York, where I spent an extra semester finishing my degree after breaking both wrists in a snowboarding accident. I got my bachelor’s from the University of California, San Diego, where I graduated summa cum laude with honors.
